MØ – ‘Final Song’

‘Final Song’
After featuring on ‘Lean On’ (Major Lazer and DJ Snake) MØ is going at it alone with this self- assured anthem.

‘Final Song’ narrates a message of acknowledging inner strength and empowerment. Distinctive trickling echoes open the track and follows with the question; “Please, won’t you wait? Won’t you stay?” and we automatically think it’s going to be a typical heartbreak tune until you recognize MØ is actually addressing herself.

The track ends with scrapping the majority of the backing music leaving just high pitched vocals arranged in a choir type fashion mixed with a distorted, highly edited masculine vocal leading up to MØ’s raspy, juvenile vocals that adds a fitting drama to the final chorus.

Like most pop songs the track is resilient and exceptionally uplifting with its narrative and colourful beat that complements MØ’s vibrant style and makes us hope this track isn’t MØ’s ‘Final song’.
